Emptied the Recycle Bin or Trash, or deleted the wrong folder? On hard drives and memory cards, deleted files can usually be recovered if you stop using the device.

Deleted files stay on hard drives and memory cards until new data overwrites them. Stop saving, installing or browsing on the affected device. On SSDs, TRIM usually clears deleted data quickly, so check backups, OneDrive, iCloud and Time Machine first.
