NAS Devices data recovery

Shared folders gone, volume crashed or NAS dead? We recover data from Synology, QNAP, ASUSTOR, TerraMaster, Buffalo, Netgear, Drobo and other NAS units.

NAS Devices data recovery

What goes wrong

NAS units run their own operating systems on top of RAID. Failed drives, botched rebuilds, firmware updates, power cuts and ransomware can all make the data inaccessible, even though it is still on the drives.

Our approach

We image every drive, rebuild the RAID and file system (ext4, Btrfs, XFS, ZFS or proprietary formats) and extract your shares. The NAS itself does not need to work.

Common questions

My NAS was hit by ransomware. Can you help?

Sometimes, via snapshots or unencrypted data. Disconnect it from the internet first.

Do you need the NAS box?

Usually just the drives, labelled by bay. Send the unit too if you can.

How long does a recovery take?

Straightforward cases take a few days; clean-room and RAID work can take longer.

Get a price from a technician

Tell us the make, the model and what has gone wrong. A technician replies with a price and the quickest way to sort it – normally the same working day.
