Apple Mac data recovery

MacBook won’t start, iMac drive failed or files deleted? We recover data from every Mac, including T2 and Apple silicon models with soldered storage.

Apple Mac data recovery

Why Macs are different

Most MacBooks since 2016 have storage soldered to the logic board, and every Mac with a T2 chip or Apple silicon encrypts that storage with keys inside the chip. Removing the storage chips does not work – the original board has to run. That is why our Mac recovery is tied closely to board-level repair.

Older Macs

Intel iMacs, older MacBook Pros and Mac minis often use hard drives, Fusion Drives or removable SSDs, which we image directly.

Common questions

Can you recover data from a liquid-damaged MacBook Air?

Often, by repairing the board enough to copy the data off.

Do you need my password?

For FileVault-encrypted Macs, yes – there is no way around it.

Will I know what can be recovered before I pay?

Yes. You get a list of recoverable files before the recovery itself is charged.
