OCZ Vertex, Agility, Octane & Vector: specifications & data recovery

About the Vertex, Agility, Octane & Vector

OCZ drives had high failure rates and OCZ went bankrupt in 2013, with the brand taken over by Toshiba. Many failed OCZ drives still hold recoverable data.

Not sure which model you have? Look at the label on the SSD itself, or check Device Manager / System Information on a working computer.

How we recover Vertex, Agility, Octane & Vector data

Most failed SSDs still hold their data. We work with controller-specific tools; drives with hardware encryption must be recovered through the original controller.

Common questions

Can you recover data from a failed OCZ Vertex, Agility, Octane & Vector?

In most cases, yes. SSD recovery happens at controller level: we put the drive into a technological mode, repair or bypass the failed firmware and read the flash through its own controller so the data is reassembled correctly.

Where do I find my SSD model number?

Look at the label on the SSD itself, or check Device Manager / System Information on a working computer.

Can I post my drive to you?

Yes, using our insured courier service from anywhere in the UK.
